2023 Techaide Soccer Tournament

The Techaide Soccer Tournament to benefit Centraide of Greater Montreal is back on Friday, June 16, 2023, at the Stade de soccer de Montréal (9235 Av. Papineau, Montréal).

For the fourth year, Montreal’s tech community is taking to the field to support a good cause.

All proceeds from the tournament will go to the Techaide initiative to give back to Centraide of Greater Montreal, in support of the 350 local agencies that fight poverty and social exclusion every day.

Tournament details

Soccer players of all levels are welcome in this friendly competition between Montreal tech companies. For this fourth edition, about 30 teams will compete in two leagues – recreational and competitive.

The soccer tournament pits two teams of 7 players against each other. Teams can have up to 8 substitutes with an unlimited number of permutations. Each team must have at least one (1) female player on the field at all times during the game. Techaide promotes participation and inclusion in all of its events.

Registration

The registration fee for the tournament is $200 per team. The deadline to register a team is June 9.
Once your team is registered, a fundraising page will be created for your team. It is on this page that the players will have to register.

Fundraising

For participation in the tournament, each team is then invited to organize a fundraiser with a recommended goal of $1000 or more. The proceeds are donated directly to Centraide of Greater Montreal.

All donations of $20 or more are eligible for a tax receipt. This receipt will be issued in the name of the person or company that registers the donation.
