2020 Techaide AI4GOOD Conference and Hackathon
12 November 2020 @ 09:00 - 15 November 2020 @ 17:00
From November 12 to 15, the TechAide AI Conference and the AI4GOOD Hackathon will be merged into one greater virtual event. This year, TechAide is inviting you to the TechAide AI4Good Conference and Hackathon.
The objective of the conference is to showcase projects with positive impact from the AI community, to raise money for Centraide of Greater Montreal, and to inspire collaborations that could lead to improvements in the lives of Montrealers.
On the first day, world-renowned researchers will share their work, coupling innovative AI approaches with impactful projects from areas such as health, environment, accessibility, and human rights. The day will feature two sessions, each consisting of recorded presentations streamed in a Zoom watch party, followed by a live Q&A with the speakers.
Following the conference, a hackathon will be held starting on November 12th, from 5 pm and spanning the weekend until November 15th at 3 pm. The hackathon encourages interdisciplinary discussion and problem-solving, bringing together problem owners from nonprofit organizations with AI enthusiasts that will develop and deploy concrete solutions to these problems. This will not only allow AI researchers and non-profit organisations to address important challenges related to the Greater Montreal society, but also forge future possible collaborations.
This event is made possible thanks to the technical support of Mila and to the dedicated work of our volunteers of the TechAide Committee: Sasha Luccioni, Nadine Khairallah, Doina Precup, Nabil Beitinjaneh, Ilias Benjelloun, Diana Rebmann, Hugo Larochelle and Shibl Mourad.
Attendees are also encouraged to give generously. No matter the amount, every donation counts! To double our impact, Hugo Larochelle has offered to match all donations, up to $50,000!
